We left the dock at Rüdesheim and in the morning we were proceeding up the Rhine toward Mannheim.

I didn't realize at the time that Ludwigshafen was across the river from Mannheim. I had photos of Mannheim from 1950 (and also a few from Heidleburg) but I hadn't gotten them printed out because I knew I couldn't do the tour to Heidleburg.
In summary - on the 7th I just stayed on board and ate three meals.

Breakfast
Tower as we go under a bridge
Worms
Altus Bruderhaus

Beer and pretzels in the lounge

I am having a lot of trouble getting the internet in my room, and it is too difficult to take the computer up to the lounge. There are no US channels on the TV. I can't get any football games, and it is hard to get news of the election. I can see that Wes Moore won for governor, and I see that Abigail Spanburger beat Yesli Vega but other than that and some of the big races reported on BBC, I don't know anything.
