Breakfast
In the morning it was gloomy and rainy. There were no tours that I really wanted to do in the rain. So basically this was another day where I ate 3 meals.
There was a tour to Freiburg. The tour to the Black Forest for a hike in the forest is even longer.

I've been to the Black Forest - we picked blueberries there. My dad took movies which include a sequence where my sister proudly shows off the berries she has picked and the her hand slips and the blueberries are all spilled - to her despair.

Lesley and Mike went on the Riquewihr Walking Tour which was long and would have been difficult for me to do. Lesley showed me the photos that she took. All these photos are hers

One of the examples of historic architecture is the Dolder Gate

They went to Cave d'affinage de Riquewihr. The google translation for this space comes out as:
"The Riquewihr Maturation Cellar is pleased to offer you its range of cheeses selected from small regional producers. Ranging from Savoie through Franche Comté and of course Alsace, that selected products favoring raw milk and summer milk. All this in different ripening, in order to sublimate the best of our terroir"

I should have gotten off the boat and walked around the little town where we were docked, but I didn't.

It turned into a sunny nice day.
A lot of people went swimming. I should have gone up and gone swimming but I couldn't figure out how I would walk across the Sun deck to the pool without someone to take the rollator up there.

After lunch we start going through locks to get up to Basel. Lesley went up on the Sun deck to take photos of some of the locks

At dinner,
I liked the appetizer (a smoothy)
Apple poppy seed smoothie

Appetizer - goat cheese mousse, beetroot carpaccio, mango salsa, watermelon cress

Sweet corn cream soup
but we had turkey for dinner and I didn't much care for it so I just ate the potatoes out from under it.

Coffee ice cream
Since I was in a cabin by myself, I used my OBC to tip the staff with some extra Euros to make up the difference in getting tips from two people. The rest of the Euros I used to tip the cruise manager. Lesley had little thank you cards for the special staff including the piano player thanking him for his hours and hours of playing. He was overwhelmed because I think he is often forgotten. She also gave cards to the man in the DR who always brings me cranberry juice, and the bartender who knows what Mike likes and also for our room steward.
Drawing a face
We packed ourselves up at night. I put all the things I was going to use in Lucerne and Zurich in the rollator bag, and stuff that is dirty or I don't want to wear in my suitcase.

lights at night
I have been doing a sinus rinse daily, and have been without cats for 10 days. [I am allergic to cats.] My nose is running a little less, but I still have a cough.
Towel rabbit
I put on compression socks and they were very tight. I was going to take a shower, but couldn't since I had socks on.
