Sometimes, a wake-up call does not wake me. So Lesley came next door and turned on the lights to wake me up. I opened up the chair in the shower and took a shower and washed my hair.

We went down to breakfast, and then loaded all the bags into our van.

The rollator bag was missing its luggage tag, so Mike took it down special. We all loaded back into the van

We went over to the lake shore, and Manfred got our boat tickets. There was a ramp to get onto the boat with a little lip on each end, but the boat officers put a little wooden piece on each end so that the scooter went right on.

Today was not bright and sunny like yesterday but was foggy and damp. So I didn't want to go up to the open deck.

We had a nice ride along the lake,

On our way to Zurich, we stopped for a break in Schwyz, a town with a Saturday market and everyone but me got off to walk around. Lesley took some photos

When we got to Zurich, Frederico made arrangements to check me into the hotel early

Hotel: Hotel Schweizerhof Zürich
Address: Bahnhofpl. 7
Zurich 8001
Switzerland
Check-In: Nov 12 2022 Room Category: STD PLUS (AP)
Check-Out: Nov 14 2022 Bedding: Queen Bed

..while the rest of the group went on a walking tour. There were a few little steps to get into the hotel, so the bellman who wears a red uniform, led me around the corner to the stealth elevator to take me up three or four steps to the lobby. It is like the little lift we had in Paris which needs the bellman to operate it. Mike was not impressed.

This is a much nicer room than the one in Lucerne -- there is room in it to actually walk past the scooter.

so I had a tangerine and a piece of chocolate.

I took the computer out but the plugs were not the kind that I could plug into them. I called the desk and they said that Switzerland plugs are completely different than any other plugs in Europe. So I used the computer on battery for awhile (logged into the hotel wi-fi) and then took a nap.

Mike and Lesley came back from the walking tour - they are not next door this time but are down on the 2nd floor (I'm on the fourth floor). Mike went to plug in the scooter and eventually he went down to get a converter plug that will work on the Swiss outlets.

They said that we had a reservation at a restaurant just across the street for 5:10. So I got up and prepared to go out. Mike and Lesley thought I could just use the rollator and he could carry it down the steps without having to use the little elevator. But not only was there considerable walking in the hotel, but the restaurant was in the railroad station which (while technically it was just across the street) was about a block away and then there was a distance to walk inside the station. We came to a ramp going down and I was having a hard time with it - the rollator tends to roll away with me on the down slope. So I sat on it and Mike backed me down the ramp with my feet just dragging behind as this one does not have foot rests.

We did get to the restaurant, and I said that in the future it would probably be easier for me if I just used the scooter and I walked down the steps and Mike carried the scooter down. It's not that heavy for a guy like Mike.

We had a nice dinner - Mike had cordon bleu, Lesley had macaroni, and I had

It was good and I could eat 2/3rds of it. After we finished, Mike went back to get the scooter and Lesley and I had a scoop of ice cream with whipped cream.

Getting back on the scooter was much easier.

When we got back the bellman gave me a chocolate bar and the maid came in and put down pads where I might be walking. I don't know whether they are protecting the rug from my feet or my feet from the rug.

This bed has motors in it which will raise the head or feet. I think I will try the feet up tonight a little bit.
