Cruising Up the Rhine toward Cologne

This morning I had an

Avocado tartine for breakfast - it is a poached egg with avocado on the side

We are traveling down the Rhine to Cologne. I spent some time this morning sitting by my window with the window open and taking photos.

It got close to lunch time, so I went up to the lounge and spent some time outside on the fore-deck taking photos of the scenery passing by.

We went into the lounge and then had lunch in the 'cafe' area at the bow just forward of the lounge. Mike and Lesley seemed to prefer to eat here, but there is more variety at the regular dining room

A Hamburger from the always available menu

because the ones Lesley and Mike had yesterday looked so good, but they brought me the special which was

the Monte Cristo sandwich

and I should have just eaten it because it looked good. I didn't get dessert - I went back to the room and ate some of my birthday cake.
